My first post on Medium!

Hurray! I made my first post on Medium. Finally.

Even though I made my Medium account before I made my blog, but till now I just used to post on WordPress.

You may ask me if I have got blog, why Medium? Because it is a platform for sharing the stories. Reading and writing the personal experiences so that the world comes to know about it. Isn’t that the reason for blogging (it is the reason I blog).

My first Medium post is nothing hi-tech. I have not discussed any new technique for becoming a millionaire, nor have I written about cures of diseases. I don’t write about these things. I have tried to convey my simple feelings about writing on Medium.

Two platforms to share the word are better than one.

The more we share, the more we realise that we actually are a part of this system. We tell this world our tales because we feel that by doing so we are a part of a larger scenario. Words get meaning for us. We understand the situations completely. Sharing the views and opinions is like that last piece of jig-saw puzzle. It is necessary to be there for the puzzle to be solved.

Many of the bloggers are on Medium too. This drives more traffic and post to each platform and helps the blogger to have more views in his stats box. Medium is a nice app to read, write and share the stories with the world. I ain’t endorsing Medium here but what is good is good. Whosoever uses it will get the idea of what I am talking about.

Those of you not using Medium can check it up. It is one of the apps that I recommend to my friends too. Now if you already are using it, I hope you will check my Medium account and follow me there. I will be more than happy to take this WordPress-initiated-friendship into Medium too.

You can comment whatever you feel about Medium. Since I am a newbie of Medium, you can also give me some tips and tricks regarding the same.

  2. I’m super intrigued by the medium thing you’re talking about. I heard mention of it several weeks ago in a webinar that I caught the last half of. Do you feel it’s a useful addition to get your blog out there more?

    1. Thanks for commenting. I think Medium is one of the best option, if not best, to increase the reach of your blog. It is phenomenal to share stuff on it. Just make sure that you link your post on medium back to your blog.
      Initially you may feel like Medium is crap, but over time you get followers, your stuff is read and believe me, it feels amazing. I think you should give it a try. Best luck

  3. Thanks for the info. Been hearing a lot about Medium. By the way, love to real the peronal side of blogs….so much mor a sense of community over the get rich quick blogs that flood the market.

  7. Congratulations, but may I also suggest you actually make use of the prompt word suggested by this WordPress page? It can carry you into some new areas of your imagination where you might otherwise not go?

    1. Thanks for the feedback. I am actually getting the hold of this amazing prompt feature. You see, I am a newbie in this blogging so it’s gonna take time before I actually know how to write posts relevant to the prompts.
      I am constantly going through these blogs to get the idea of using prompts judiciously. It’s gonna take time but let’s hope it’s not long enough.
